PROCESS:

GREENBOOK PRODUCTION:
In order to make this prodiction sustainable, we used recycled paint as all of our base, and mostly used washes in order to stretch our paint use out.

WALLS: We wanted to create a very water damaged and dirty wall. To create the heavily textured surface we used around 8 layers, mostly consisting of washes.

FLOOR: To create the cobblestone effect (directly on the studio floor), we first did a dirty splatter effect as our base. We then went in with stencils and used two different paints to blend them directly on the floor with the roller. We then used a raw umber and a magnolia wash as shadows and highlights to create a 3D look. Lastly we used a sandy wash around the edges.

WOODGRAIN: We had 2 different types of woodgrain. The first was the most abundantly used, which we applied to the ladder, feedbox and staue/idol base. The other was the centre of the table, which we matcched to the rest of the pre-existing table.
