PROCESS:
FAIRIES: This stared with store-bought blouses, trousers and vests (as well as hats and shoes). Once dyed and painted, each set of trousers needed to be cut to length and then elacticated at the cuffs. We then added a pleated mesh fabric to the collars of all the vests. There were 27 fairies total.
THE WALL: This simply a square of fabric with a head hole. We added a lining and some elastic for comfortability and painted with a sponge stencil.
PYRAMUS’ CAPE: This was a semi-circle pattern made out of a curtain fabric.
LION MANE AND GLOVES: This was created with a padded crecent moon head piece that covered in strips of different fabrics. Some of these strips were tubes that housed wire or zip-ties.
